    Machines for balancing “disk” type parts. 9V series machines

    Series 9V machines are versatile pre-resonance machines designed for balancing “disk-shaped” parts. These machines have a vertical axis of rotation, resulting in high output for balancing single-plane rotors.

    Series 9V balancing machines are conceived for balancing tasks in small series and series productions. However, when equipped with the required implements, these machines have a high degree of versatility enabling them to operate in the repair shops with a large nomenclature of products of various shapes and sizes.

    The 9V series machines are capable of performing these operations:

    • Single-plane balancing in dynamic mode;
    • Two-plane balancing in dynamic mode ;
    • Quality control of assembly of “disk-shaped” products.

    Machines of the 9V series consist of a monolithic rigid housing in which the spindle unit and the electric drive of the machine are mounted on the vibration support of the preresonance type. A characteristic feature of the spindle unit is a tapered fit that allows achieving high alignment of the tooling with the spindle rotation axis without using an indicator stand.

    Machine tools of 9V series are controlled by the control panel located on the rack that is installed on the housing or in a free-standing control cabinet (depending on the model of the machine). In the control cabinet there is a frequency converter responsible for smooth regulation of electric drive and protection of electrical equipment. In addition, a balancing system is located in the control cabinet.

    When ordering the machine, you can choose on the basis of which balancing system the machine will work. There are two ready variants: PB-02M microprocessor measuring system and PAK-V hardware-software complex working on the base of industrial computer with touch screen. There is also a possibility to order the unique balancing system according to your requirements.

    Performance of the 9V series can be increased by adding an unbalance correction unit (drilling or milling) or a collet quick-clamping system. Machines can also be equipped with a tracking system for instant detection of the unbalance correction point or for automatic positioning of the balancing piece to a specified angular position after detection of the unbalance correction point.

    • The design of the machines is ergonomic, changeover time is short and the operator can be fatigue-free for a long time;
    • The unique technology of the spindle unit assembly and high quality of materials and components allow to balance the parts with the accuracy of 4 g*mm/kg (by special order 1 g*mm/kg);
    • The spindle unit is adapted to axial and radial loads and the surfaces in contact with the workpieces to be balanced have a high degree of hardness, which enables the machine to operate for decades without loss of precision;
    • The infinitely variable speed control of the motor allows you to choose the optimal speed for the workpiece of any mass and design, avoiding work at “resonant frequencies”;
    • The machines can operate in “semi-automatic” mode, automatically stopping the rotation of the piece at the end of the measuring cycle and releasing time for the machine operator for auxiliary operations (such as preparing the next piece).

    Features of the PAK-B balancing system:

    • Calculation of “allowable unbalance”, “test weight” and “drilling depth” will eliminate the need for skilled personnel (such as technicians or adjusters) to be involved in these operations;
    • Vector approximation shortens the measuring cycle and improves the accuracy of unbalance determination even for parts with small residual unbalance values or in the presence of various balance-related errors;
    • Display and monitoring of unbalance angle in a vectorial pie chart provides an instant location for unbalance correction, and a color-coded display of the unbalance tolerance threshold provides a clear indication of whether balancing is complete;
    • The ability to perform two-plane balancing eliminates the problem of parts with correction planes far apart;
    • Static-momentum balancing enables the static and torque components of unbalance to be determined separately, so that “problematic” parts (e.g. with an asymmetrical shape due to thermal deformations) can be balanced.

    The equipment has a high accuracy of determining the imbalance. All machines are manufactured with an accuracy of at least 4 g ∙ mm / kg (1.0 g ∙ mm / kg by special order). The popularity of machines in this series is due to:

Balancing systems operate in “real time” mode, that is, calculations of signals from machine sensors are displayed on the screen every second, which allows you to track the behavior of the imbalance when changing the balancing conditions, making the data analysis process much easier. Applying the method of adjusting the balancing system using the “three starts” method, the equipment always has high sensitivity since the machine is calibrated every time a new setting is made. The balancing system PB-02M has such functions as “taking into account the eccentricity of the equipment”, “Vector imbalance averaging” and the modes of “calculating the imbalance on structurally determined points” and “calculating the control weights and the permissible residual unbalance”.
