    9D716P Pump balancing machine

    The Model 9D716P is a universal balancing machine specializing in balancing parts for pumping equipment. These machines are part of the 9D series and are of similar design.

    The machine has a high degree of versatility, which allows it to work with any parts with a weight not exceeding 1500 kg. Due to these properties, the machines of 9D716P series are very popular in the repair shops of many companies that operate pumping equipment. In addition, high productivity and the possibility of quick changeover of the machine have also been appreciated by pump equipment manufacturers engaged in small series and serial production.

     

    The following operations can be performed on the machine:

    • Single-plane balancing of pump impellers in dynamic mode;
    • Two-plane selective balancing of the shaft assembly with pump impellers in dynamic mode;
    • Balancing of the electric motor rotor assembly with the pump impeller in its own bearings;
    • Quality control of pump impeller manufacturing;
    • Quality control of shaft assembly with pump impellers;
    • Search for the source of vibration at the shaft assembly with pump impellers and bearings (option);
    • Checking of the unbalance value correspondence.

     

    The 9D Series has a balancing accuracy of 0.4 g*mm/kg. This accuracy is sufficient for balancing all “rigid” rotors as required by ISO 1940-1 : 2003. Therefore, the machines are often used for balancing not only pumping equipment, but also parts and assemblies such as: precision grinding machine spindles, high speed spindle shafts of industrial equipment, pulleys, gears, technological mandrels, rotors and anchors of service equipment motors, etc.

    • The horizontal axis of rotation of the parts during balancing allows for single-plane balancing of pump impellers using the process mandrels as well as double-plane balancing of shafts complete with pump impellers on one machine;
    • The unique technology of the machine rollers assembly and their grinding technology “exact barrel” provides high precision of the balancing 0,4 g*mm/kg (by the special order 0,1 g*mm/kg);
    • All units of the machine and the balancing system are designed for balancing all constructions and parts, providing a high degree of versatility. Great variety of products can be balanced on the machine;
    • As an option, the machine can be equipped with “belt-drive” and “axial-drive”, with “unbalance correction module” and “jack for hammerless installation”, these additions will increase the functionality and reliability of the machine;
    • The machine can be equipped with one of the two balancing systems, PB-02M (microprocessor balancing system) or PAK-1 (hardware-software complex, based on industrial computer with touch-screen). It is also possible to order a unique balancing system according to your requirements.

    Features of the PAK-1 balancing system:

    • Display of the angular position of the unbalance of the two planes on one screen in “real time” mode (pie chart and digital values) provides fast and qualitative analysis of the part behavior, allows to achieve perfect results;
    • One minute self-calibration by the operator, guarantees high precision over the entire life of the machine and eliminates the time and expense of calling out a specialist;
    • Static-momentum balancing is very effective on “single-plane” parts which are subject to thermal deformation after welding or where parts are out of alignment with respect to one another. It determines the magnitude of the “static” and “torque” components of unbalance and is only available on our machines;
    • The distribution of unbalance into structurally determined points simplifies the balancing of parts which have limited unbalance correction points, e.g. impellers of pump impellers.

    Design features of the machine

    The unique micro-tuning mechanism ® technology eliminates the “thread” effect (when the rotor moves axially) on the pump balancing machine 9D716P.

    The supports are set relative to the bed with a chain mechanical drive, this simplifies the setup process.

    The special design of the supports allows you to install the rotor without paying attention to its length, the only limitation is the width of the “drive belt” and the length of the bed. (By special order, the bed can be made under the rotor of any length).

    The “belt drive” has the patented LONG STROKE ® design which allows with just two drive belts to balance any rotor.

    An alternative to a “belt drive” is an “axial drive”, which uses a cardan shaft that is capable of transmitting large torque from the electric motor to the rotor. Such a drive is used for parts with high aerodynamic drag. The axial drive of all machines of the 9D series is equipped with a full-fledged quill.

     

    By special order, it is possible to order a combined version of the machine (with two drives: axial and belt).

    Belt drive provides versatility of the machine, large travel of tension pulley allows only one or two belts to be used. Belt installation does not require disassembly of the unit.

    All electrical equipment is located in the cabinet, the outer cables are in metal hose. The assembly matches CE standarts.

    Preconfigured frequency-controlled asynchronous electric drive allows control of the rotor speed, acceleration and deceleration process.

    Safe working conditions on the machine are provided by rigid stops, protective covers of the drive belt and rotating pulleys, safety interlocks, ergonomic controls, etc.

    PAK-1 BALANCING SYSTEM

    Digital system is based on an industrial fanless computer with a touch screen and a measuring unit.

    Set-up mode by “triple start-ups” method with the use of calibration weights on the serial rotors with initial unbalance.

    Calibration of the machine is made by the operator enabling to reach the maximum sensitivity of the machine, thus exempting from the duty to pay annual calibration fees.

    • Calculation of the balance tolerance values in default of technical documentation for the balancing product.
    • Value calculation of the correction test weights to simplify the tuning process for the balancing rotor.
    • Real-time balancing display, i.e. if there is any defect or a hindrance of a rotor, it’s visible immediately as fluctuation in measurement result.
    • View of unbalance value in grams, gmm, gsm, gmm / kg optionally.
    • Taking into account the eccentricity of the balancing mandrel.
