    Universal machine for balancing screws of all manufacturers 9D716A

    The Model 9D716A is a universal pre-resonance machine specializing in auger balancing up to 500 kg. It is widely used in agricultural equipment repair companies and farms with large fleets of special equipment. Although this machine is popular because it specializes in balancing augers, it is also effective at balancing other parts for farming machinery.

    With the 9D716A, you can balance these parts:

    • Auger;
    • Threshing drum;
    • Crusher rotor;
    • Combine chopper shaft;
    • Combine rotors;
    • Combine gas pedal drum;
    • Combine variator;
    • Shredder shaft with knives;
    • Beaters;
    • Reels, gears, discs, pulleys and much more.

    The 9D716A is part of the 9D series and has the same design and features (you can find out more on our website under 9D). However, it does have characteristic features. For example, the force sensors in the 9D716A have a coarser sensitivity. This is done intentionally so that the machine can handle parts with very high initial unbalance. More important in this case is the ability to handle such parts than the absolute accuracy of the machine, although the accuracy remains high. The balancing accuracy class of agricultural parts is G16 (according to ISO 1940-1 : 2003), once sensors are loaded, the machine can handle parts of class G1, which is good enough for all your applications except balancing precision spindles of grinding machines or gyroscopes. However, the sensitivity of the sensors can be increased if necessary.

    The second feature of the 9D716A is that the balancing system starts measuring at 400 rpm instead of 600 rpm. This is due to the fact that augers for transporting grain usually have a long length and low stiffness. At speeds above 600 rpm imbalance causes the auger bending under the influence of centrifugal force and gravity, which leads to oscillation and increased vibration. This makes it difficult to adjust and balance the auger properly. You solve this problem at the ordering stage of the machine.

    • Large rollers with a small contact surface width and a narrow roller cassette allow the balancing of parts with short or hard-to-reach necks;
    • The protective covers of the supports guarantee the safety of the force transducers against dirt or mechanical damage;
    • The design and height of the supports guarantee safe handling of shredders, crushers and drums with large dimensions and protruding structural elements;
    • Protective brackets with radial stops allow you to balance cantilever-type parts and provide collective protection;
    • The roller block can easily be exchanged for other accessories such as prisms to balance parts in their own bearings, allowing the functionality of the machine to be changed without upgrading;
    • “Axial drive” has a quill that simplifies set-up and increases productivity when working on the same type of parts or parts of mass production.
    Functions of the PAK-1 balancing system:

    • The balancing results averaging allows you to effectively cope with the balancing of parts that have moving elements that change their position from start to start, such as the shredder shaft with mounted knives;
    • Tracking of the angular position of the component and the unbalance in two planes allows the location of the unbalance correction to be determined quickly, because the tracking is done in “real time”;
    • Calculation of the residual unbalance allows the operator to determine, without a mathematical calculation, whether the correction weights have reached their correction values;
    • The unbalance decomposition function permits precise balancing of parts with a minimum number of starts by indicating the mass of correction weights available and the number of correction points on the part. This is especially useful for parts with low neck hardness and large masses, as well as parts with correction points that are limited by design.

    Design features of the machine

    The unique micro-tuning mechanism ® technology eliminates the “thread” effect (when the rotor moves axially) on the auger balancing machine 9D716A.

    The supports are set relative to the bed with a chain mechanical drive, this simplifies the setup process.

    The special design of the supports allows you to install the rotor without paying attention to its length, the only limitation is the width of the “drive belt” and the length of the bed. (By special order, the bed can be made under the rotor of any length).

    The “belt drive” has the patented LONG STROKE ® design which allows with just two drive belts to balance any rotor.

    An alternative to a “belt drive” is an “axial drive”, which uses a cardan shaft that is capable of transmitting large torque from the electric motor to the rotor. Such a drive is used for parts with high aerodynamic drag. The axial drive of all machines of the 9D series is equipped with a full-fledged quill.

    By special order, it is possible to order a combined version of the machine (with two drives: axial and belt).

    Belt drive provides versatility of the machine, large travel of tension pulley allows only one or two belts to be used. Belt installation does not require disassembly of the unit.

    All electrical equipment is located in the cabinet, the outer cables are in metal hose. The assembly matches CE standarts.

    Preconfigured frequency-controlled asynchronous electric drive allows control of the rotor speed, acceleration and deceleration process.

    Safe working conditions on the machine are provided by rigid stops, protective covers of the drive belt and rotating pulleys, safety interlocks, ergonomic controls, etc.

    PAK-1 BALANCING SYSTEM

    Digital system is based on an industrial fanless computer with a touch screen and a measuring unit.

    Set-up mode by “triple start-ups” method with the use of calibration weights on the serial rotors with initial unbalance.

    Calibration of the machine is made by the operator enabling to reach the maximum sensitivity of the machine, thus exempting from the duty to pay annual calibration fees.

    • Calculation of the balance tolerance values in default of technical documentation for the balancing product.
    • Value calculation of the correction test weights to simplify the tuning process for the balancing rotor.
    • Real-time balancing display, i.e. if there is any defect or a hindrance of a rotor, it’s visible immediately as fluctuation in measurement result.
    • View of unbalance value in grams, gmm, gsm, gmm / kg optionally.
    • Taking into account the eccentricity of the balancing mandrel.
    • Unbalance distribution on n-planes correction
    • Calculation of hole depth for correction of unbalance.
    • Possibility of decomposition of correcting weights into structurally conditioned anchoring points (blades, fans, slots).
    • Rotor balancing report creating and printing.
    • USB port for printer connection, USB-flash memory, port for connecting to local network and Ethernet network.
