    Model 9V7101 machine for balancing single-plane parts

    The balancing machine model 9V7101 is a special equipment with a vertical axis of rotation. The machine is designed for balancing single-plane rotors with a weight not exceeding 100 kg. The machine can be used both in repair shops with a large nomenclature of balancing products and at productions with small batch and serial production.

    It is possible to balance such parts on the machine:

    • Couplings of all types;
    • Pump impellers;
    • Brake discs from automotive to diesel locomotives;
    • Impellers of gas compressor and aviation turbines;
    • Milk separators;
    • Brake drums;Tooling for metalworking and woodworking;
    • Pulleys, flywheels, gears, vane fans, any “disk-shaped” parts.

    The equipment includes a monolithic housing with a preresonant support, on which force sensors and a spindle assembly with an electric drive are mounted. The machine is controlled by a control panel, which is located in a separate electrical cabinet. There is also a frequency converter in the control cabinet, which is responsible for continuously adjusting the spindle speed and protecting the electrical equipment, including the balancing system. The balancing system can be selected from two ready-made options: PB-02M (microprocessor-based balancing system) or PAK-VERT (touch-screen computer-based system). It is also possible to make a special system according to the customer’s requirements.

    The standard spindle has a tapered hole for mounting a tapered mandrel. The part to be balanced is clamped to the mandrel and secured by a clamping bolt. This design is ideal for one-off or repair shops where small batch balancing of a variety of parts is required. For high volume production the machine can be equipped with a hydraulically or pneumatically operated collet clamping system. Re-positioning of the part on a machine with this modification takes about 3 seconds. The collet clamping can be controlled by means of a control panel or a foot pedal.

    • The spindle assembly is designed to withstand axial and radial loads. By using quality materials and proven bearings, this assembly provides high unbalance detection accuracy and long life;
    • The tapered fit ensures perfect alignment of the mandrel axis (with the balancing part mounted on it) with the spindle’s rotational axis, thus eliminating balancing errors and enabling quick change of the part without the use of the indicator stand;
    • The productivity of the operation can be increased by the use of different machine modules, e.g. “collet clamping module” or “unbalance correction module” (drilling or milling);
    • Can be equipped with a work-piece positioning unit with automatic angle positioning to integrate the machine into the automatic production lines of the batch-type production lines;
    • Semi-automatic” operation – the rotation of the workpiece stops automatically at the end of the probing cycle, without any human intervention. This allows the operator to free time for other tasks, such as preparing a new part;

    Features and functions of the PAK-VERT balancing system:

    • Calculation of “allowable unbalance”, “test weight” and “drilling depth” eliminates the need for mathematical calculations, allowing people with any level of training to adjust and balance, which solves the problem of finding personnel;
    • The machine and the balancing system are capable of handling two-plane workpieces. Even when a part is dimensioned on the border between “single plane” and “two plane” type, our system can easily balance such parts;
    • Distribution of unbalance to constructionally constrained points simplifies balancing parts with limited correction positions, e.g., bladed fans, grooved drums, or baskets with corrective weight holders;
    • Static-momentum balancing determines the static and moment components of unbalance. This feature is especially useful for balancing problematic parts that are asymmetrical due to thermal deformations or misalignments during assembly;
    • Storing and printing reports of balancing results allows for quality control of part manufacturing and assembly, and enables a quality management system to be organized in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard.

    The vertical balancing machine 9V7101 has a high accuracy of determining the imbalance. All machines are manufactured with an accuracy of at least 4 g ∙ mm / kg (1.0 g ∙ mm / kg by special order). The popularity of machines in this series is due to:

The vertical balancing machine 9V7101 can operate in a “semi-automatic” mode, and after the measurement cycle is completed, the spindle rotation will turn off automatically (without human intervention). This will allow the operator to perform auxiliary operations in parallel with balancing, for example, to prepare the next part or test loads.
    3. To increase productivity and simplify the process of removing imbalances, we can additionally equip the vertical balancing machine 9V7101 with “drilling module” or “milling module”.
    4. Also, the machine can be equipped with both the PB-02M microprocessor system and the PAK-1V system based on an industrial PC.

    Balancing systems operate in “real time” mode. Calculations of signals from machine sensors are displayed on the screen every second. That allows you to track the behavior of the imbalance when changing the balancing conditions, making the data analysis process much easier. 

    Applying the method of adjusting the balancing system using the “three starts” method, the equipment always has high sensitivity since the machine is calibrated every time a new setting is made. 

    The balancing system PB-02M has such functions as:

    • machine takes into account the eccentricity of the equipment;
    • it also averages vector imbalance.

    Digital system is based on an industrial fanless computer with both a touch screen and a measuring unit.

    The operator calibrates the machine, enabling to reach the maximum sensitivity of the machine, thus exempting from the duty to pay annual calibration fees.
